Step 1: Create an Entity
Access the Side Menu.
Navigate to Management > Entities.
Click Add, enter a name for the entity, and configure the initial options as needed.
Step 2: Link a Configuration Policy to the Entity
After creating the entity, associate it with a configuration policy that allows you to apply controls directly to the device’s operating system, leveraging Apple’s functionalities.
To create the policy:
- Access the Side Menu.
- Go to Management > Policies and select the Apple tab.
- Click Add, select the corresponding entity, and configure the necessary options.
Important Notes
- Some settings require a minimum iOS version.
Other features only work in Supervised mode. - To check these requirements, hover over the information icon (i) next to each feature.
Methods to Install the Management Profile
- The profile can be installed in two ways, depending on the desired control level:
- BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)
In this mode, simply download and install the management profile on the device.
