Geofence Feature
The Geofence feature allows you to define a geographic operating area for mobile devices.
With this feature, you can:
- Lock the device when it leaves the specified area.
- Generate logs whenever the device enters or leaves the defined geofence.
How to Configure a Geofence
- Open the desired Entity in the platform.
- On the Monitoring tab, enable the Geofence Enabled option.
Define the Geofence Area
Once this feature is enabled, a new Geofence tab will become available.
On this tab, you can:
- Select the desired location directly on the displayed map.
- Configure the Geofence radius by adjusting the size of the defined area.
If the administrator enables the Lock device outside the Geofence option, the device will be automatically locked whenever it leaves the defined area, and a log entry will be generated. The device will remain locked until the user returns to the geofenced area.
If this option is not enabled, the system will only generate logs when the device enters or leaves the defined area, without locking the device.
To view these logs, open the device's Security tab.
If this option is not enabled, the system will only generate entry and exit logs for the defined area, without locking the device.
To view these logs, go to the “Security” tab in the device's record.
