To remove an app, you first need to identify how it was installed — whether it was through the Play Store or via an APK from Urmobo’s own software catalog. Each method has a specific removal procedure:
Apps Installed via Play Store
If the app was installed through the Play Store and you want to remove it from all devices, go to the policy where the app is included.
Then, navigate to the “Applications” tab, find the app in the list, and click the red icon next to the app entry to remove it.
After removing the app, click “Save” at the bottom of the page, as shown in the image below.
If you need to remove the app from only a few devices, you should follow the removal steps for apps installed via the software catalog.
Apps from the Catalog
To remove apps installed from the catalog, it’s important to check whether there is a policy linked to the entity of the specific device.
If the app’s installation type is set to “Forced Installation” or “Available”, follow the steps below:
If it is set to “Forced Installation”, you will need to change it to “Available”, as apps with forced installation cannot be removed directly from the device.
To do this:Remove the app from the policy, as described in the previous section.
Immediately re-add the app, selecting “Available” in the “Installation Type” field.
Only after re-adding the app, save the policy.
Additionally, check if the “App Removal Disabled” option is enabled in the policy — if so, this can prevent the app from being deleted on the devices, as shown in the image below.
Next, go to the “Applications > Remove Application” menu.
On the screen that appears, follow the steps below:
Select the Device, Group, or Entity from which the app will be removed.
In the second step, choose the desired APK or enter the package name of the app to be removed.
Finally, confirm the removal.
After completing these steps, the selected devices will receive the command, and the app will be automatically removed.
