To set up a new management profile in Urmobo MDM, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Create an Entity
- Access the Sidebar Menu.
- Go to Management > Entities.
- Click the “Add” button, set a name for the new entity, and configure the initial options as needed.
💡 Important:
The settings applied to the entity affect only the operation of the Urmobo app, which usually acts as the device launcher. To apply system-level lockdown and control policies, you need to proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Link a Configuration Policy to the Entity
After creating the entity, associate a configuration policy with it. This policy uses features provided by Android Enterprise, allowing direct control over the device’s operating system.
To create a policy:
- Access the Sidebar Menu.
- Go to Management > Policies.
- Click “Add”, select the corresponding entity, and configure all options according to your needs.
ℹ️ Important Notes: - Some policy settings require a minimum Android version. To check, hover over the information icon (“i”) next to each item.
