Kiosk Mode Customization
Kiosk Mode is essential for enabling various monitoring and restriction functions on managed devices. While restrictive by nature, it allows for extensive customization, such as changing the wallpaper, adjusting icon sizes, and setting text colors — just a few of the available options.
Changing the Wallpaper
The wallpaper on devices can be changed in two ways:
-
Automatically, ideal for newly provisioned devices:

1. Icon Size and Text Color
To customize the size of icons and text color in Kiosk Mode:
- Go to Side Menu > Management > Entities
- Click on the desired entity
- Navigate to the Kiosk tab
- Under Other Settings, adjust the icon size and text color as needed
2. Footer Information
The footer information displayed in Kiosk Mode helps identify the device and show relevant data for usage or configuration.
To customize:
- Go to Side Menu > Management > Entities
- Select the entity
- In the Kiosk tab, find the Footer Information field
- Drag the desired options from the Available to the Selected section — these will appear in the Kiosk footer
3. Other Customization Options
Additional customization features are available in the Other Settings section of the Kiosk tab:
- Sort Icons: Displays icons alphabetically. If disabled, the order follows the list of allowed apps.
- Show All Apps: Displays all installed apps instead of just those defined in the entity.
- Hide Toolbar: Hides the Urmobo Kiosk toolbar.
Kiosk Mode offers much more than just locking features — it enables a highly customizable experience that enhances control, branding, and usability for your managed devices. Exploring these settings allows for a safer and more streamlined operational environment. 💡
